Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed.   Psalm 82:3

Donor Spotlight - Mike Andre

After I retired 4 years ago, I was looking for ways to serve God by serving others. We need to be not just hearers of God’s Word, but also doers of God’s Word. With my time on earth nearing an end, I wanted to help others. I prayed and asked God how I could be useful with the little time that I have left on earth. I started noticing some posts from the orphanage on Jason’s Facebook wall. After praying and researching, I decided that supporting the orphanage would be a good way of serving. I retired early so didn’t get my full pension, so I started thinking of ways to earn money for the orphanage. Theresa and I have both been makers and crafters our entire lives, so we started selling jam, bread, produce, and various crafts at the farm market. We also opened an Etsy store to sell food and crafts because the farm market only happens in the summer. If anyone has any ideas for making money for the orphanage, please let us know.
