If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.  James 2

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Is DCCO a registered non-profit in Uganda?
One of our upcoming projects is to process the registration paperwork to finalize the registration process.  Due to rising food costs and limited funds, our goals are as follows :  Feed the Kids, Pay the Rent, Provide medical care to the children, and enroll the kids in school each semester.  We still have a shortfall for the monthly food budget that we need help with.

     2.  When is the target date to move into the new facility?
We have three remaining projects to complete before moving in, please see the Building Projects page for more details.  Our stretch goal would be to move in by the end of 2022, but it depends on donations and the generosity of our partners and new friends.

     3.  What percentage of donations go directly to the ministry?
Unlike other child care ministries that give a certain percentage, 100% of donations go directly for the support of the kids and the orphanage.

      4.
What Financial controls are in place for the ministry?
The director - Ssemanda, produces monthly financial statements on giving and spending and submits those to the board.
